It is NOT the womens fault
Just read an article about paying teenage girls to not have sex so that the teenage pregnancy rate would fall. Er, doesn't it take two to make a baby? That's right, a MALE is involved. So why didn't the article suggest that we get the teenage boys to abstain from sex for a fee, or a the very least not have unprotected sex? Is it because they are irresponsible? No, it's the old, old story - it must be the girl's fault! The same blame is laid when a woman walks alone at night. It doesn't matter if she has spent the night in the pub, been to night school, or just finished work, every woman has the right to walk down our city streets. If a woman is dressed a certain way and is assaulted, or worse, then she is subject to more blame. So in these "enlightened" times, shouldn't we be putting the blame back where it belongs - to the minority of men who think they have a right to treat women like dirt.
