It's just KNOT on

Knitting yarn is getting very expensive, so when you find knots a few metres into a ball it is very frustrating.  I am knitting with a mohair blend and could not believe it when I came to a knot after only two rows.  From now on I am going to contact these people and complain, cause it's just not good enough.  Maybe even start a name and shame.  Or they should be made to state on the labels that there are knots in this ball and drop the price accordingly.  I know that there are more pressing matters in the world to deal with, but it still makes me mad and it is all the little things that add up to make me even grumpier, grrrrrrr

There is no justice

I am realising that as you get older you not only get grumpier, you get more cynical and disillusioned.  EG why, when there are so many evil people in this world, does an ordinary young man who should have had his whole life in front of him, have to suffer for months from a cruel and incurable disease before he dies?  So sorry Krissie, love you heaps.  One day you will be able to look back at the good times and all the bad, sad times will fade away.
Why is it that a person can drink drive, knock a man off his bike, killing him, and then leave the scene?  Isn't this hit and run?  Isn't this a crime?  Shouldn't the person responsible be made accountable for this?  An Italian tourist who caused a fatality because he drove on the wrong side of the road (I imagine it would be confusing when all your life you have been used to left hand drive) is now in court.  It seems he is facing up to his responsibilities, so why can't these so called men of law?????  To Di Gilchrist-Humphreys, you put up a good fight, so maybe at least one of the people involved has a conscience and has trouble sleeping at night.

Dear Ross Lyon

Dear Ross Lyon,
After the initial disappointment (no, make that downright anger), I thought some more about the game on Saturday night against the Crows, and finally I get it!!!!
You are playing for the wooden spoon so that you can get all the best draft picks.  'Cause lets face it, half of these players have to go, or at least go back to the VFL until they are physically and mentally fit to play with the big boys.  Some are past their used by date, so why aren't you giving the young ones a go?  Some others have not been pulling their weight or playing the team game.
I don't know what you see when you watch a saints game, but as a spectator, all I see is a weird sort of slow motion combination of rugby league and b-grade footy (apologies to b-grade footy teams).
I don't know how you can say "don't write them off yet", because it was obvious from the first round game that they were playing badly.
Saints supporters are used to saying "Oh well, there's always next year", so once again, there's always next year.
