ebay email scam is back

This scam is a worry, because if you do not take the time to look at it properly, it does look genuine. A couple of give aways are that the bits that are not copied and pasted directly from eBay are badly written, IE the English is poor and they do not use your user name like eBay do. I was immediately suspicious because I knew that I didn't owe any money, but I reckon that quite a few people will be conned with this one.
One scam that I don't think will fool many people is the one I received from a Thai diplomat who was waiting for me at JFK airport with my packages, valued at $750,000. Although all the paperwork for these packages looked to be in order, and customs were satisfied that no drugs or counterfeit goods were involved, apparently I had not paid the "tag" fee, so would I send $55 immediately etc. etc. It certainly won't catch many people outside of the US and unless someone was expecting packages worth three quarters of a million dollars, it won't fool many Americans either.
